Basic Control Skills
- Straight line backing
- Offset back/right
- Offset back/left
- Parallel park driver side
- Parallel park conventional
- Alley Docking (not required)
On-Road Driving
- Turns, Intersections
- Urban/Rural Straight and Lane Changes
- Expressway, Stop/Start, Curve
- Railroad Crossing, Bridge/Overpass/Sign
- Manual Transmission Clutch/Gear Usage
- Brake Usage, Lane Usage, Steering
- Regular Traffic Checks
- Use of Turn Signals
It is highly recommended to take at least 10 lessons
From the three lesson types above, take at least two lessons for the Pre-Trip Inspection and the rest for the Basic Controls Skills and On-Road Driving.
For the Manual Transmission, it is suggested to take even more lessons because it takes more effort to get a hold of it than the Automatic Transmission.
However, if you pass The Road Test for the Manual Transmission, you can drive with both Transmissions. Such drivers are more in demand.
